Happy Birthday…or is it?
After many of you have Tweeted me, commented on Facebook/Myspace, or emailed me, I thought it was time for my once a year explanation on my birthday and the Internet.
First, thanks for the thoughts! I always appreciate them. However, I hate to tell you that it’s not really my birthday…yet.
On most non-essential websites, I tend to give my birthday as September 1st for security reasons. This has caused quite the confusion for my friends, on the Internet and in real life, over the past few birthdays. Most people tend to only tell me happy birthday on the wrong days, but I actually had a friend gift me on th wrong day. This wasn’t a between-two-person kind of gift giving, but the friend publicly had a gift sent to me at school. Due to embarrassment, my friend will never forget my exact birthday, September 6th, again.
Just a short story to remind you that it isn’t my birthday today. However, I am still excepting birthday gifts. :D
